What brings you peace?

Posted on Jan 22nd, 2009 by tifani : Eyes of the World tifani
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 22, 2009:

Dancing to the song of the birds, moving the movement of my soul. My knees soft and my toes tipped, I can dance through anything.

Gentle movements, steady movements, movement brings me peace. The sway, the ebb, the flow of the energy that is me, that surrounds me.

The Truth of Interdependence
Connection

Picking a leaf off the ground and contemplating it as an object in and of itself is very inspiring. Its shape and color, the way it feels in your hand, its delicate veins and the stem that once held it fast to the branch of a tree—all of these qualities reveal a leaf to be a miniature work of natural art. As we contemplate this small object more deeply and consider where it came from and what purpose it has served, we find that the leaf is one small but essential part of a system that harnesses the energy of the sun, plumbs the depths of the earth, and in the process brings into being the oxygen many living things rely on to live.

A leaf transforms the elements of its environment—sunlight, carbon dioxide, rain—into nourishment for its tree. This beautiful, nearly weightless, ephemeral piece of nature is a vital conduit to the branch that is a conduit to the trunk that is a conduit to the roots of the tree. The roots, in turn, draw nourishment from the earth to feed the trunk, the branches, and the leaves. The living beings that inhale the oxygen that comes from this process exhale the carbon dioxide that feeds the leaves through which the tree is fed. It is difficult to know where one cycle ends and another one begins.

One of the many gifts that nature offers us is a clear demonstration of the interdependence between all living things. The person who exhales the carbon dioxide, the clouds that produce the rain, the sun that gives light, the leaf that transforms all these things into sustenance for a tree—not one of these could survive without being part of this cycle.

Each living being is dependent upon other living things for its survival. When we look at the world, we see that this is not a place where different beings survive independently of one another. Earth is home to a web of living things that are connected to each other through a spinning kaleidoscope of relationships. We need each other to survive and thrive.

How appropriate. At a time in my life where it is hard to be financially independent, emotionally independent, it is nice to think of community.

We need eachother, for the times when we can't do it alone. In fact, are we ever doing it alone? I have depended upon the divine in every moment.

HMMM.

Love and Light yall.

Do you believe there is value in suffering?

In my own experience I have learned that suffering is a choice. It is something we choose to do and I sometimes choose to suffer...

I have learned many things through suffering but it is usually not learned until I step out of the shadow of the archetype choosing to suffer that I learn anything. It is usually just the hardest way to a lesson and with the right tools I do believe that suffering can be minimized if not all together banished.

Today I choose to enjoy and experience all of my emotions and show gratitude for the awareness given.

What is going right in your life right now?

Posted on Jan 8th, 2009 by tifani : Eyes of the World tifani
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 08, 2009:

It is often easier for me to look at the things that are not running smoothly and judge them ( SILLY JUDGE) it is more beneficial to recognize the success of the things in my life that I worked for and enjoy the pay off.

Right now I am so happy with my relationship. We work so well together and I have no fear about where this road will take us, I know we can handle it. He keeps me grounded and centered and I keep him questioning reality, it works!

I am also excited about my new job, I am working as a circuit trainer and encouraging women to get healthy and get moving. This feels like a great place to be right now for me, I am feeling a strong pull towards service and this feels like a great service to be providing.

I am also happy about my new awareness of compassion and how important its abundance in my life is. I look forward to making compassion a bigger part of myself and sharing that compassion with others.

Things are good and I have worked hard to be hear today. I express love and compassion for myself and the story of my short life...
Love and Light

Where do you find the sacred in your life?

Posted on Jan 7th, 2009 by tifani : Eyes of the World tifani
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 07, 2009:

Goddess

There is no salvation for the soul
But to fall in Love.
It has to creep and crawl
Among the Lovers first.

Only Lovers can escape
From these two worlds.
This was written in creation.

Only from the Heart
Can you reach the sky.
The rose of Glory
Can only be raised in the Heart.

-Rumi

I find the sacred in Love. It's the easiest place to feel it. I also find the sacred on the path of service- compassion in action. By serving others you serve the divine.

Today I will serve the divine and see the holiness of all the is within me and without me. Today I see the sacred in everything.

What would you like to celebrate?

Posted on Jan 6th, 2009 by tifani : Eyes of the World tifani
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 06, 2009:

I would like to celebrate myself and where I am today, in Hellam getting ready for work.

It may not be what I want to be doing, where I want to be doing it, but I think all of this is necessary and a great lesson in patience.

What do you have the hardest time giving?

I first thought of money, which is something I do struggle with, but that response did not feel appropriate.

I have the hardest time giving my attention, my full attention to people. I have a hard time remaining present and in my yoga practice today I realized how not being present robs me not only of being fully aware and connected but also of freedom. The freedom of experience.

Affirmation: I am here now. I am open to the experience I am having.

Thank you Siona, for bringing me here again, and thank you gaia bloggers for being a part of my journey.

What do you have the hardest time asking for?

Posted on Jan 4th, 2009 by tifani : Eyes of the World tifani
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 04, 2009:

It is hard for me to ask the universe for what I want, because I have such a hard time deciding and having confidence in what that is.

What do I want? What does it look like? How does it smell? How does it feel?

It smells like lavender and dirt. It feels like those times you are completely present while making love, it is overwhelming and unexplainable. It looks like me, being confident in what I am doing, powerful, strong, yet compassionate and understanding. What is that all put together....
I have no idea..6th chakra issues...NOOO! ha haha I'd say. Maybe today I will focus on my third eye for a little, hopefully clear some of this up.

This question is most certainly one of this I reflect on often, thank you for leading me to it again today.

What do you love most about your life right now?

Waking up in the morning and nuzzling in my sweet kings beard. Rolling around for a little before I decide to actually get moving. I am loving the relationship I am in, although at times I lose focus on what is happening with the rest of my life I can always count on looking at what I have with Raja and being completely content, happy, ecstatic. It takes a lot to maintain a healthy, functioning relationship, but with him it is easy. It is just so easy and I thank the sweet goddess for making the connection happen.
